Moonshine-Still

Stagma.  1681 -1820.  Stagma refers to any distilled liquor.  Though I have no evidence of this, I can only presume that the origin of ‘stagma’ is derived from the word ‘stagometer’.  A stagometer was an apparatus for the measurement of the number of drops per unit of volume of a liquid; something that drips.  To make distilled liquor, vaporised alcohol is cooled or condensed, to form clear drops of distilled spirits.  Voila, the result is stagma.  Find some of your preferred stagma today and ‘cheers to the weekend’!
