Today’s word is ‘shamocrat’ and defined as ‘one who pretends to be possessed of wealth, influence, rank, or indeed any quality which is only conspicuous by its absence’.  I have encountered many a shamocrat; I bet you have to.  Let’s try calling them out using this word.  They would likely mistake it for a term of endearment, improving upon our enjoyment of their overall sham-absurdity.
