Here are a few of the places I like to waste, er, spend time on the web.

upworthy.com.  At best, things online are usually either awesome or meaningful, but everything on Upworthy.com has a little of both. Sensational and substantial. Entertaining and enlightening. Shocking and significant.

nautil.us. Each issue combines the sciences, culture and philosophy into a single story told by the world’s leading thinkers and writers. They follow the story wherever it leads. Read their essays, investigative reports, and blogs. Fiction, too. Take in games, videos, and graphic stories. Stop in for a minute, or an hour. Nautilus lets science spill over its usual borders. They are science, connected.

goop.com. Goop is a digital media and e-commerce company founded by Gwyneth Paltrow. Gwyneth started goop in the fall of 2008 to share all of life’s positives. From creating a delicious recipe to finding a perfect dress for spring, Gwyneth began curating the best of lifestyle to help her readers save time, simplify and feel inspired. Determined to publish a genuine and resourceful issue each week, for many, goop has become their most trusted girlfriend on the web.

psychologytoday.com. It focuses on human behavior and covers a wide range of topics including psychology, neuroscience, relationships, health, work, and the psychological aspects of current affairs.

uncovet.com.  A carefully curated e-commerce destination with unique and versatile accessories for you and your home. They pride themselves on discovering up-and-coming designers and trends to help you express and define your personal style through the “extras”.
