Get your ‘Wes Anderson’ on, with a new clip from The Grand Budapest Hotel! I admit, Anderson is an acquired taste. With a delicious and addictive flavor, at that! The Royal Tenenbaums, The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Darjeeling Limited, to name just a few of my favorites. The unbelievable ensemble casts featured in his eccentric films are part of their charm and The Grand Budapest Hotel is no exception. Saoirse Ronan, Jude Law, Ralph Fiennes, Léa Seydoux, Bill Murray, Owen Wilson, Tilda Swinton, Edward Norton, Jason Schwartzman, Adrian Brody, Willem Defoe, Jeff Goldblum, Harvey Kietel, Tom Wilkinson…..whew, seriously? There are more a-list actors in this film than have crossed the threshold at the Betty Ford Centre. Okay, not even close, but you get the point. The Grand Budapest Hotel recounts the adventures of a legendary concierge, Gustave H, and the lobby boy, Zero Moustafa, at a famous European hotel between the wars. It involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting and the battle for an enormous family fortune. There doesn’t seem to be any middle ground where Anderson films are concerned. People either love or hate them. If, like me, you love them, and would like a teaser, watch the trailer from here. You will be glad you did. It will hold you over until the film opens on March 7, 2014.
